Who is Grüezi in Nelson?
Grüezi in Nelson was initially formed about 5 years ago as a group to foster Swiss culture and traditions, and to enjoy social gatherings.
The group though wasn’t really active until after last year’s lockdown. Due to the closed boarders Martin, one of the instigator, thought that there might be an interest in a first of August celebration due to all these travel plans that might not happen. Surprisingly within a couple of weeks, the event was fully booked. A bigger venue had to be found to host the 120 people that had registered!
The group experienced a revival!
This days the group regularly, among other events, enjoys jassen, walks, movie nights and celebrating the Swiss National Day.
